With the launch of the new campaign to make India clean, almost every second individual make great claims about his great effort for the cause. Some individuals do really take a step and are making great efforts to make this campaign a success. But for the most of individuals it is just a mere mundane topic for the conversation. These individuals will pose with a broom or do a status update and that is it for them. That is their great effort. Rather than acting for the cause they just make big statements. But at least they are making a statement for a cleaner India and if their throat becomes sore, I will be happy to provide them with the Strepsils.
To make India clean we have to come out and speak, not just with the words but with the actions. To make our societies’ Billu, Chinu, Sonu, Montu indulge in the act of cleaning India, we first have to take the initiative. We have to take one Strepsils and make a pledge in clear voice, to make India clean. The moment you speak up and start indulging in the act of keeping India clean, your Montu would also speak up #AbMontuBolgega.
No matter wherever you go just keep in mind not to litter and not accepting when anyone litters. If a person litters then politely ask him to pick it up and trash it in the bin.
A few days back I was having a cup of tea of at a stall and there was a man having a cup of tea and smoking cigarette. After taking last drag from the cigarette he threw it on the ground and after finishing his tea he did same with the disposable cup. Before I could say anything, the owner of the tea stall asked that man to pick up the cup and the cigarette bud, to which he said “pick up if you have so much problem with it” in an infuriating manner. I interjected and said “don’t pick it up, he has done it he should throw it in bin” to which the owner replied “what harm will it do, if I do that? After all I am doing it to keep my place clean”. The man was listening to the whole conversation and I don’t know what struck him but he bent down, picked up the cigarette bud and the cup and threw it in the bin. This is when I understood speaking up does have its significance. This act inspires everyone to speak up for the cause. If someone is not keeping India clean, we should request them to clean. If the person is still littering then it is our duty to take a step and dispose trash into the bin.
There are various campaigns launched to support for the cause of a cleaner India and one such is Ab Montu Bolega campaign by Strepsils. By becoming part of this campaign you can make authorities aware of the present condition of the places that need to be cleaned. You can also make the people aware by becoming part of this campaign. It is a campaign that has made individuals realize the power of their word and we should support campaigns like this. I support this campaign and this time around “Ab Montu ke sath me bhi bolunga”.
